Hello everyone. This should be the first email you’ve received when a new “News” post is published to our Faranhyll Ranch HOA site. Please let me know if you’re able to log on, navigate the site, see the News post, have any questions or suggestions, etc., etc.
Scott Fifer informed me that he received a notice from CenturyLink that on October 24, 2021, changes will be made to several US area codes, including 970, that will require full 10 digit dialing to make phone calls. Currently, dialing a 970 area code number from a 970 area code number did not require dialing the area code, only the 7-digit phone number.
Both the Faranhyll Ranch North and South gates have 970 area code numbers which will be affected. This means two things for us. First, if you want to call the gate or perhaps have a speed-dial programmed into your phone, on October 24th, 2021 you’ll be required to dial the full 10-digit number. Second, our two gate keypads will need to be reprogrammed to dial full 10-digit numbers if a visitor uses the keypad directory to call the number associated to your directory entry.
The Faranhyll Ranch I.T. Department will take care of the second item on or shortly after October 24th.
